Bike Fix-it Stations

Bike station at the Arkansas Union

The University of Arkansas has installed its first of two Bike Fix-it stations.  Cyclists can now visit the Arkansas Union at the heart of campus to pump up tires and do basic bike repair such as change or pump tires, adjust brakes or chains and tighten loose nuts and bolts.

The bike fix-it stations are installed to promote sustainable transportation at the University of Arkansas.  It’s part of our Climate Action Plan and our commitment to become carbon neutral by 2040.

Fix-it stations are free for the entire campus community.   The second station will be located at the Arkansas Bookstore before the Fall 2013 semester.

Included tools:

  • Tire pump
  • Screwdrivers
  • Wrenches
  • Tire levers

If you don’t feel comfortable biking to campus yet, be sure to register for our newsletter and we will keep you updated on bicycle safety classes throughout the academic calendar. These courses cover basics of biking on the road.
