The 2012 Lemke Newsroom Staff
The Razorback Reporter is a news reporting, multimedia and visual journalism
project sponsored by the Walter J. Lemke Department of Journalism in the J. William
Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Arkansas.
Each fall semester students are selected — based on faculty interviews — to take
part in a five-course practicum that meets as one block schedule of classes. Sessions
go from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, instead of the customary Tuesday/Thursday or
Monday/Wednesday schedule for many upper level classes.
The schedule makes it possible for students to report daily stories, shoot photos and
video and produce multimedia packages. Faculty, who work as editors, supervise
students on their production schedules.
The resulting stories are posted on this website.
The Razorback Reporter also is available for Lemke Department students in other
classes and in other semesters to post their work.
The Lemke Newsroom was established in the fall semester of 2010. Students from
all journalism concentrations have taken part in the Newsroom.
